This morning cj woke up spelling poo
P O O spells poo.... the darling child is not interested at all in spelling his name but P O O, it seems is the word of choice.... then he demanded we bake a vanilla cake for breakfast. Being the Oga i am i broke his darling little heart and suggested that breakfast would be better to have first. After the first round of negotiations ( i hate negotiations before 9) breakfast was had and then vanilla cake started

Mostly because the first recipe required 6 eggs and this one had 2 less. 4 eggs seems huge to me for a vanilla cake but hey ho i gave it ago.
This recipe is way to big for my non matha stewart kitchen. I really don't know what size my cake times are and get confused by this every time! Choosing to refer to them only by shape. So i filled up my square tin and then had heaps left over so made 8 fairy cakes.
Thankfully the gods of cooking were on my side and remembered to pull the fairy cakes out before they burnt into rock hard lumps of coal.
So here are 3 butterfly cakes. I only did 3 one for us each. ive frozen the other cup cakes for a rainy day and filled the square with whipped cream and blueberries.
