Summer days

Ok i love summer. i love the beach, i love being outdoors. I love the fruit, i love the food and drink, i love the vibe of it all.
It got to 38 here yesterday. We had the overhead fan on but it was bearable. CJ was happy running around the house nudie rudie and watching cars. He had a pretty bad allergic reaction to something sunday night and Monday woke up with eyes the size of golf balls and a rash everywhere!
The poor darling. By the afternoon his eyes had gone down but he was still out of sorts.
I whipped up a chocolate pav for Lazy Sunday materchef class. Then we headed to the beach for tea. I was going to make stuff to take but i just ran out of time. So we had fish and chips... Which i had to wait 45 mins The beach was beautiful tho. The water totally refreshing, no wind and crystal clear water.CJ and JB went for a swim and i waded up to my thighs. Cj had a great time watching the older boys play with a red remote control boat and watching a little boat trying to pull a guy on a surf board and the guy falling off several times first lol At about 8 we headed home to make up Nigella's Chocolate pav. Which was a success. CJ ate some which was strange... he usually only has about 2 bites of dessert. JB ate a couple of pices with extra chocolate and i had half a slice. Plently of left overs so will be enjoying today.
JB and i finished off with a bottle of pink bubbly that we didn't have at new years. A perfect end to a beautiful tassie summers day :)
