Wonderful, food, company and a beautiful view..... and my boy is growing up!

On Sunday we had a lazy sunday lunch at a friends house. They made sushi and honeycombe cheesecake and we made dumplings and a pineapple cake. We sat on their balcony with a view of the derwent and Mt welly and enjoyed. It was bliss. After we stuffed ourselves silly ( the food was so good we were all stuffed) the kids jumped on the trampoline... as only kids can after a full meal and we sat stood around enjoying the sunshine.
Later we got the kids bikes out and went took them to burn off some energy down at the local high school. CJ got a bike for Christmas but had terrible trouble with it... JB and i really thought he just needed to see some other kids riding a chain bike to get the idea.... and quicker than quick he did!
He was riding off with the other kids singing while he did it. They had races up and down the basketball courts. It was a handicap race so CJ got to go first followed by the 3 older kids. It was just so cute to watch. I felt so proud of him. He definately learns by watching and doing... i need to remember that for the future.
He had a few falls.... trying to grasp the idea of foot breaks lol One major stack where he split open his ben 10 top. His not allowed to watch ben 10 but knows all about it from child care. He thinks ben 10 is pretty amazing so he was devo about ripping it. He also hurt his knee, im keeping an eye on it he says its still hurting from time to time. He often denies pain so when he does complain i know i need to be on to it.
Anyways we rode back to our friends and then sat around talking while the kids played again on the tramploine. CJ had his shirt off because it was ripped so all the other kids joined in too and of course then there was no excuse to get the hose out and hose them down! lol
Im happy to say a really lovely tassie summer day was had by all.
Photos to come :)
